In September 1897, the Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University was founded as the Medical Institute for Women. This was the first institution both in Russia and Europe to provide an opportunity for women to acquire higher medical education.
Academy has become one of the leading medical centers of the country. The university has adopted a unique teaching methodology since its foundation, which is based on a combination of the best Russian medical educational traditions with methods of Western Education System. In 1994 by the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation, the university got its present name.
Admission Criteria
The eligibility criteria to study MBBS at Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University is as follows: Students must have cleared NEET exam.
The student must have completed 17 years of age on 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
The university accepts candidates with all passing marks and grades in class 12th, no specific grade or marks are required.
The student must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology at his/her 12th standard.
